How it works
Beyond the Deckmate 2 USB hack, criminals with physical access to automatic shufflers may install internal hardware modifications that compromise shuffle randomness or transmit card data. Technicians or owners with access to shuffler internals install additional circuit boards, wireless transmitters, or modified firmware that either tracks card order or manipulates shuffle results. Pre-rigged machines sold on secondary markets are a growing concern.
